Youth Jam In The Park

Since August 2023 we’ve held monthly under 18’s open mic nights. These nights give young people with musical talent the opportunity to perform in front of an audience with the support of our house band (should they need them).
We’ve seen a number of young people already grow in confidence through this process and have given a wide range of young people a stage to explore their creativity. From shy and quiet ten year old drummers, to rock bands of seventeen year olds jumping around the stage, we’ve seen it all. We’ve even supported older learning disabled people who are not comfortable in a pub environment.


This summer will be the one year anniversary of helping these young creatives and we would like to take some of the most talented young people from the sessions and showcase them in Maidstone town centre at an event suitable for friends, family and the general public.
We plan to host the event at Brenchley Gardens on the Bandstand on Saturday 13th July.
The event will include our house band to support the musicians, a local young sound engineer, our young, in training, stage manager and our larger than life host. We’ll run for 3-4 hours in the afternoon and all music will be accessible and suitable for public performance.
