Music Blaster Competition Rules

Anyone who enters the Competition (an "Entrant") will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.

The following rules are together with, and in addition to the kmfm competition terms and conditions which can be found here.

To enter the Competition an Entrant must register by sending one text message to kmfm when asked by the on air presenter.

Entrants must text ‘kmfm’ plus their full name and postcode to 60099. 

Texts are charged at your standard network rate.

Entrants will have an allotted time to text, as announced by the on air presenter.

Texts after this time will not be included but may still be charged.

Incomplete texts may not be entered.

A random text will be chosen from the correct entries and an entrant called back to play 'Music Blaster.' 

A selection of music clips that must be identified by the artist. One point will be awarded for every correct answer. There can be no passes. 

The entrant with the highest score on the last competition day of the month (subject to calendar dates) will win £300 (to be paid into the winner's bank account).

If there is more than one entrant with the same score, the prize money will be shared. For example, if 2 entrants have an equal high score, they each win £150.00, totaling £300.00. If 3 entrants score the same, they each win £100.00.

This updated term came into effect on 1st October 2022.

An entrant can only play once per month if they are top of the leaderboard. Should they then have their top score beaten during that same month they can enter the competition again.

This updated term came into effect on 1st March 2024.

This competition will finish the day before the last weekday of the month when station wide competitions are running on a Friday (eg, 'Thousand Pound Friday' or 'Cash For Christmas'). Meaning 'Music Blaster' will finish on the last Thursday of the month rather than the Friday, unless the last day/s of the month continue into the next week, eg if Monday is the 31st of the month.

Should there be a situation where there are no entries, the presenter will re-set the competition. If there are no entries, the competition round for that day will not happen.

'Music Blaster' will not run on any weekday when station wide competitions are also running.

In the event of more than one entrant with the same high score, one of those will be chosen at random and they will win the prize.

If the chosen entrant does not answer their phone or the call goes to answer phone for whatever reason, including any faults before/during the call and it's not possible to re-establish the call, another entrant will be chosen at random.

If the chosen entrant is driving at the time of the call and can not pull over or the entrant can not continue for whatever reason, another entrant may be chosen at random A call will be recorded and played out on air.

The randomly chosen entrant will be required to have a chat with the on air presenter and play the game.

This competition runs on kmfm Drivetime Monday-Friday.

This competition does not run during bank holidays (eg, bank holiday Monday) or during long holiday weekends.

Prize: 

£300 (paid into the winner's bank account).
