2 Grand In The Sand competition terms and conditions

Anyone who enters the Competition (an "Entrant") will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them

Competition Rules.

Entry Period: To enter the Competition, an Entrant must text the word ‘SAND’ plus their name and postcode to 60099 when the cue to call is played on air.

Charges: Texts are charged at your standard network rate.

Entrants will have 5 minutes to enter. Texts sent after this time will not be included but may still be charged.

Timing: This competition runs weekdays, 9am-5pm from 5th May to 15th May 2026. 

Eligibility: Incomplete texts may not be entered.

Entrants must be aged 18 or over.

Entrants must be a resident in Kent and live in the BR, CT, DA, ME, or TN postcode areas.

Selection of Entrant: A random text will be chosen from the correct entries and called back.

If the chosen entrant does not answer their phone for whatever reason, including (but not limited to) going to voicemail or screening services, another entrant will be chosen.

If during the call the entrant does not answer when spoken to for whatever reason, including technical issues from the entrant's phone, signal issues, or disconnection, the call may be ended and another caller chosen at random.

If the caller is driving and cannot safely or lawfully pull over to take the call, another caller may be chosen at random.

Successful entrants will win a place in the '2 Grand In The Sand' final on Bank Holiday Monday 25th May 2026.

The randomly chosen entrant will be required to talk to the on-air presenter/s. They will be assigned a specific grid place for the final. For example, the first finalist chosen during the competition will be assigned Grid Place 1, the second finalist will be assigned Grid Place 2, and so on.

2 Grand In The Sand Final: The final will take place at a Kent beach location on Bank Holiday Monday 25th May 2026. Location and time to be confirmed with finalists.

Each finalist will have 1 pre-determined grid square to stand in and dig for the £2,000 prize money.

Should a finalist confirm they cannot attend, another entrant who texted in during the competition period may be chosen to take their place.

Finalists are permitted to invite a 'plus 1' to the event.

The winner is the person who finds the £2,000 cash amount buried in their grid square.

Publicity: We may publish and/or publicise your name, image, and location (e.g., town of residency) online, on social media and for PR purposes in association with this competition.

 

Prize:

£2,000.

Payment: Payment will be made via BACS to the named winner's account only. Money will arrive within 28 days of winning the competition.

The prize is non-transferable.
