Be Bright Be Seen is back for 2026 with Kent County Council’s Safer Road User Team!

This autumn and winter, kmfm and Kent County Council are teaming up once again for Be Bright Be Seen - helping children stay safer and more visible on their journeys to and from school.

As the days get shorter and darker, being seen on Kent’s roads is more important than ever. Children wearing dark school uniforms and coats can be harder for drivers to spot, but a simple reflective item can make a big difference.

Why visibility matters

Reflective items catch the light from vehicle headlights, helping children stand out from a greater distance and giving drivers more time to see them.

Whether they’re walking, cycling or travelling to school, adding something reflective to a coat, school bag or bike is a simple way to improve visibility.

For 2026, we’re giving away 25,000 free Be Bright Be Seen reflective disks to schools, classes, clubs and groups across Kent.

They’re easy to clip onto bags, coats or bikes, helping children shine bright when daylight is limited.
