The Festival of Steam & Transport 2020
The Festival of Steam and Transport is back for 2020 and you could win family tickets to it
Roll up roll up, The Festival of Steam & Transport is back at The Historic Dockyard Chatham on Easter Sunday and Monday (12th-13th April).
Anything goes for this event – whether you’re a steam fanatic, a classic car collector, a steampunk follower or you’re just looking for a fantastic family day out – this Festival has it all.
Soak up the atmosphere, see magnificent engines fill the air with steam, watch the quirky street entertainers and enjoy traditional fairground rides – the Festival provides the perfect balance of nostalgia and entertainment.
Family favourites will be returning; spot the balloon man with his grand finale act, watch the local Morris dancers with a good dose of audience participation and warm your vocal chords with the return of the highly anticipated Rock Choir.
If you want to take 10 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the festival, you can. The event ticket also allows you to explore the wider Historic Dockyard site. There are 10 galleries and exhibitions all open to enjoy – from discovering the secrets of the Namur timbers in Command of the Oceans, to the walking cinema in Hearts of Oak as well as the working Victorian ropery and 3 historic warships.
400 years of maritime heritage. 80 acres of adventure!
